I love working with people who like to do things a little bit different. When Amanda and Connor first contacted me they floated the idea of doing a first look in their full wedding outfits before the day of their wedding. The reason being, they wanted to spend their wedding day being with their friends and family and not taking the time away to do so many photos. I did ponder this for a minute but quite quickly came to the conclusion that it was a fab idea! By doing their first look beforehand they could choose to do it anywhere, rather than being restricted by the grounds of their venue. We could also plan it so that we were shooting in the best light, which isn’t always an option for a lot of couples. It was also just the two of them and I, which made it special. There was still that element of surprise (Connor was blindfolded as we drove into the woods so that he wouldn’t see Amanda) and by it being just the two of them they could savour that special moment without anyone else intruding. So, being lovers of the outdoors they had told me that they wanted somewhere with some woods, some water and some wonder. I knew just the place….
